SIX DRIVERS SHORTLISTED FOR 2009 CAMS RISING STAR PROGRAM
The Australian Motor Sport Foundation (AMSF) has confirmed the short list of drivers who will compete for up to three spots in the 2009 CAMS Rising Star Program.
It was altogether the best round for Sonic Motor Racing Services drivers in some time, and that was due in no small part to some outstanding individual performances from Nick Percat in particular as the young Formula Ford star backed up his impressive Darwin clean sweep with another devastating performance in the Walkinshaw Performance / NO FEAR Mygale.
‘Laska’ Maintains Championship Lead With Fifth Consecutive Podium Finish:
Although the last two rounds of the Australian Formula Ford Championship have been won by Nick Percat, Paul ‘Laska’ Laskazeski has managed to continue his run of five podium finishers from as many starts and also maintained his comfortable lead in the championship point standings.
16-year old Queensland student Chaz Mostert was hoping his championship aspirations would turn around at the fifth round of the Genuine Ford Parts Australian Formula Ford Championship, with the event campaigned in his own backyard.. Sadly for the likeable teenager, it wasn’t to be, although like the previous round in Darwin, he left the best for last and very nearly nailed that all important top ten finish in race three.
GRAHAM HEADS THE CHARGE FOR BRITEK SCHOLARSHIP IN QUEENSLAND
