Mygale

MygaleThe French-built Mygale chassis was chosen by leading team, Sonic Motor Racing Services, to replace their fleet at the beginning of 2007. Tim Blanchard took the 2007 championship in one of the team’s cars, reinforcing this decision Mygale now has three Australian titles – Greg Ritter in 1999, Luke Youlden in 2000 and Tim Blanchard in 2007.

Mygale has become a popular choice in Australia over the last few years, following the company’s European success. With a distinctive-looking nose and large sidepods, Mygale offers high levels of control and straight-line speed.



Spectrum
Spectrum

The locally designed and manufactured Spectrum has two national titles, the first to Adam Macrow in 1998 followed by John Martin in 2006.

The chassis is built by Melbourne-based Borland Racing Developments. Designed specifically for Australian conditions the low-slung Spectrum produces arguably the best cornering and handling performance of any chassis in the category on tight, fast circuits.



Comtec Spirit

SpiritThe British-built Comtec Spirit is the most recent addition to Australian Formula Ford competition, making its Australian debut in 2006.

Imported and run by Anglo Australian Motorsport, the chassis recorded its first Australian national victory in the hands of Rob Storey at Wakefield Park in early 2008.



Van Diemen

Van DiemenVan Diemen has been the most successful chassis on the Australian (and world) circuit, recording 11 straight titles between 1987 and 1997, followed by five more between 2001 – 2005.

Practical design, strong technical support as well as reliable availability of parts make the British-built Van Diemen a strong prospect in any season.
